The day is finally here!
The Shire of Narembeen wish to advise that the newly constructed Swimming Pool will be open for business from Thursday 24th January 2008.
Council Thanks the community for their patience in waiting for the pool to open. The new amenities building is still to be constucted, but for the remained of this season the old kiosk and change rooms will be used. Below is a list of entry fees and opening times. Please note that the adjusted fee will be applicable for the remainder of this season.

This is the view of the pool from the 6 lane 25 meter lap pool. As you can see construction on the new amenities (kiosk and changerooms) is already underway in the background! Also behind where this photo was taken is a large newly grassed area.
This is the learn to swim section of the swimming pool. At 0.9m deep this will be an excellent area for swimming classes and for younger children to enjoy the pool.
As you can see this section of the pool is also shaded to provide some protection from the sun whilst at the pool.
Behind this section will be the new kiosk and changerooms.
This photo shows the new zero depth or "beach" entry of the pool. This will greatly improve accessibility as there are no steps or ladders, to get in or out is as easy as walking out of the pool.
This area also functions as the shallowest area of the pool, idea for baby and toddler water play. Shade sails also provide shade for this area.
We are looking forward to opening the new pool, and seeing the enjoyment derived from it. This new pool would not have happened without the amazing community support we have received, be it through community and sporting group donations and contributions, or through the payment of the volunteer pool levy. So thank you to all those who contributed in some way to help us acheive this fantastic new Aquatic Centre.
