It was another great success at the Australia Day Ceremony at the Narembeen Aquatic Centre on Sunday the 26th of January 2020. With approximately 80 people attending, the Narembeen Councillors prepared a great bacon and egg breakfast for all to enjoy including some of the Australia Day Bowlers that travelled from afar to play in Narembeen for the Annual Bowls Day. It was a beautiful morning beating the heat, starting bright and early at 7:00am for all setting up and decorators, awaiting the arrival of community members at roughly 7:30am for a 7:45am start.

Each year on Australia Day local government councils are given the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the contribution and engagement of members within our community. The purpose of these awards are to recognise individuals and organisations that have made contributions into the local community, which are above and beyond normal employment duties. This year we would like to congratulate Holly Cusack, Carmel Harper and The Narembeen Golf Club for their outstanding efforts to our community, you are appreciated by all and we sincerely thank you.
