Brit Duncan was awarded the Community Citizen of the Year Award for her outstanding service to the community. Brit volunteers many hours at the Narembeen Tennis Club, Narembeen Netball Club, Narembeen Football Club, Narembeen Club Inc. and St John Ambulance.

Brit has filled the roles of President and Vice President for the Narembeen Netball Club for the past 5 years. She involves herself in the Club wholeheartedly and gives extra time to assist with training, coaching, umpiring, fundraising and canteen duties. She is also an excellent player taking out the 2021 A1 Fairest and Best for the Association and the Club and Fairest and Best in the Grand Final.

The Narembeen Football Club has been lucky to have Britt as their dedicated Secretary and Trainer for years. Brit even assists with the Pre-season training getting the boys fit for the first round of the season. She often juggles her netball so she can be at both games on a Saturday.

Brit also holds the position of Secretary of the Narembeen Tennis Club. She assists with the fixturing of events and sponsorship and also plays socially, club competition and Pennants.

Brit has also been a committee member of the Narembeen Club for the past few years. Last year Brit re-commenced her volunteering with St Johns after a short break. She has managed to attend most of the training sessions and currently is rostered on call for about 7-10 days of the month with the other volunteers. She is always readily available if she is around even when not on roster.

Brit is a role model to her peers. It’s okay to play sport or help out in the community but to put your hand up to assist with the running of Clubs and to help those in need is nothing short of outstanding. She is a valued member of the Narembeen community and enhances the lives of many.

Congratulations Brit.
