The efforts of the Mt Walker Tennis Club in securing Federal funding through the Community Sport Infrastructure Fund should be commended.  This funding, along with contributions from the Mt Walker Sports Club and the Shire of Narembeen as well as a small loan to the Club has made this project possible.

The Mt Walker Sports Club provides a community hub for recreation, sport, leisure and socialising to community members of Mt Walker, east of Narembeen.  The new courts will ensure a safer and more competitive playing environment for everyone to enjoy and will encourage the likelihood of new member injection.

Council would like to acknowledge the hard work undertaken by the members of the Mt Walker Sports Club throughout this project.
