“We are delighted to announce Mr Blurton’s appointment as the CEO for the next three years. Mr Blurton comes with over 20 years’ experience in local government, the last seven of which has been in the capacity as CEO. He is an excellent fit for our organisation and our community” said Shire President Rhonda Cole.

Mr Blurton was previously the Chief Executive Officer at the Shire of Collie and has a strong background and relevant qualifications in Accounting and Public Administration. He has been Acting CEO at the Shire of Narembeen since December 2020.

“I am excited to be appointed to the position of CEO at Narembeen and I look forward to working with the Council and its staff.” Mr Blurton said.
