Cemeteries Amendment Local Law 2021
The purpose of the Local Law is:-
To amend the principal local law to ensure that its provisions are within the powers provided to the Shire of Narembeen under the enabling legislation.
The effect of the local law is:-
To ensure that the Shire of Narembeen can effectively enforce compliance by all persons engaged in the administration of the cemetery, burying deceased in the cemetery, or otherwise providing services to or making use of the cemetery.
Justification for the local law is:-
Following the making of the Shire of Narembeen Cemeteries Local Law on 20 May 2020 and the review of the Local Law by the Joint Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation, it was advised that amendments were required to the Local Law.
Fencing Amendment Local Law 2021
The purpose of the local law is:-
To amend the principal local law to ensure that its provisions are within the powers provided to the Shire of Narembeen under the enabling legislation.
The effect of the local law is:-
To ensure that the Shire of Narembeen can effectively enforce the established minimum requirements for fencing within the district
The justification for the local law is:-
Following the making of the Shire of Narembeen Cemeteries Local Law on 20 May 2020 and the review of the Local Law by the Joint Standing Committee on Delegated Legislation, it was advised that amendments were required to the Local Law.
Copies of the Amendment Local Laws may be inspected or obtained from the Shire of Narembeen, 1 Longhurst Street, Narembeen.
The Amendment Local Laws were gazetted on Friday 19th March 2021 and will come into operation on Friday 2 April 2021.
